1963 – Britain’s “Ready Steady Go” rock and roll television program airs for the first time. The show jump stats the careers of the Rolling Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan and others.

1964 – Bob Dylan and Joan Baez sing together for the first time in a concert in New York.

1966 – Gold Record awarded to the Rolling Stones for the lp “Aftermath”.

1969 – Actress Sharon Tate, and four others are victims in a bizarre night of murder. Charles Manson who is charged and found guilty of all crimes, claim the Beatles spoke to him through a “secret message” in the lyrics of five songs on the “White Album” and told him to do it.

1975 – Don Kirshner’s first annual Rock Music Awards is televised as a alternative to the Grammys.
