Space Oddity

David Bowie had an out of this world hit – literally – when he released Space Oddity in 1969. The BBC used the song during it’s Apollo 11 moon landing coverage. Talk about exposure. The song went to #5 in Britain. However, in the States it couldn’t even crack the Top 100.
