My question is, if this is something that is going to be contemplated from time to time, why doesn't Sir Paul, Ringo, Olivia and Yoko (and other heirs for that matter, like Julian, Sean, Dhani...) even George Martin's son buy the studio and then petition to preserve it has a historical site? It's such a huge part of music history... obviously not just in America. I really hope this becomes a consideration. With all the proceeds from Rock Band, it would be a nice investment for all parties involved.
