1967 – Kenny Rodgers quits the New Christie Minstrels to form The First Edition.

1975 – Mick Taylor and Carla Bley both quit the Jack Bruce Band.

1975 – Cher files for divorce from Greg Allman ten days after their wedding. She accuses him of sneaking around with an old flame.

1979 – Chuck Berry is sentenced to four months in prison after pleading guilty to income tax evasion. Berry shortchanged Uncle Sam of $200,000 on his 1973 return.
