1962 – The Rolling Stones appear for the first time at the Marquee Club in London. The early lineup includes Keith Richard, Brian Jones (using the pseudonym Elmo Lewis), Dick Taylor, Mick Avery and Mick Jagger, all former members of Blues Incorporated.

1969 – An all acoustic John Mayall Band records “The Turning Point” album live in concert at the Fillmore east in NYC.

1969 – Supergroup Blind Faith, makes it US. debut at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

1969 – Bob Dylan releases “Lay Lady Lay”

1970 – Janis Joplin appears in concert for the first time with her new band The Full Tilt Boogie, in Louisville Kentucky

1979 – Singer songwriter Minnie Ripperton, dies of cancer in her husbands arms in Los Angeles
