1960 – Hank Ballard and the Midnighters are the first group to have 3 records on the Billboards Hot 100’s chart at the same time. Popin Time” , “Lets Go Lets Go” and “The Twist”.
1966 – Cream forms when Eric Clapton, joins Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce of the Graham Bond Organization.
1969 – Gold Record awarded to the Beatles for “The Ballard of John and Yoko”
1973 Bob Dylan’s soundtrack to Pat Garret and Billy the Kid is released featuring the hit “Knockin on Heavens Door”.
1976 – Loggins and Messina split up after six years of recording hits together. Loggins initiated the break, realizing it was time to go solo.
1978 Harry Chapin is killed in a car crash on New Yorks Long Island Expressway. The cause of death was attributed to a massive heart attack.
