1964 – A Rolling Stones concert in Belfast, Ireland is stopped by police just after twelve minutes into the show due to rioting fans.

1967 – Mick Jagger and Keith Richard are released from jail after spending a month behind bars for possession of dangerous drugs. Public outcry over their imprisonment succeeds in overturning Keith’s conviction completely, while Mick is given a condititional discharge.

1971 – James Taylor has the #1 record in the US with “You’ve Got a Friend” a Carol King song. Carol later releases it on her best selling “Tapestry”album.

1972 – Gold Record awarded to Chicago for “Chicago V”

1971 – Blue Oyster Cult with “Don’t Fear the Reaper”
1976 – Orleans and “Still the One”

BIRTHDAYS
Bob Welch, Los Angeles, Ca, 1946. Singer guitarist , joined Fleetwood Mac in 1971 and shortly left for a solo career . Best know for “Sentimental Lady” and “Ebony Eyes”.
