1965 – The Beatles play Shea Stadium in New York, Their biggest venue yet.
1969 – The Historic Woodstock Music & Arts festival kicks off. 500,00 fans descend on Max Yasgurs dairy farm in upstate NY. The rest is history.
1974 – John, Paul, George and Ringo and Bert, a Beatles musical opens in London to rave reviews.
1976 – Violence erupts across the United States in the concert scene. In Detroit, racial up rise prompts the arrest of 47 people at a Average White Band show. In Los Angeles 1888 people are arrested at a Jethro Tull concert at the Coliseum. In San Francisco, it took 17 police departments to stop a riot at a ZZ Top concert, involving over 300 fans who couldn’t get tickets to the show.
1980 – George Harrison’s autobiography “I Me Mine” is published.
