One of the Pink Floyd tickets of the concert my husband went to he hung on to .. He kicks himself he can't find his other one since he kept all memorabilia from back in the day of great Rock n Roll

Growing up in the Classic Rock days although I loved the music of Pink Floyd I didn't truly appreciate them until only a few short months ago. My husband who is a Huge Floyd fan (seeing two of their concerts back in the day) sat me down one night and showed the movie "The Wall" "The Pulse Tour", "Live in Pompeii" and "The Making of the Dark Side of the Moon" and a few old clips with Syd Barrett. It was then I truly opened my eyes to appreciate Pink Floyd not just for the tunes I heard on the radio but for who they are and the true intensity of their music and lyrics. What a feeling it was to re-discover Pink Floyd as they should be .. with a soulful of admiration ...Cheers!

PF, lyk there a band in my opinion that is in far out field of thought and possibilities and they were matched by their contemporaries who are MOODY BLUES and ALAN PARSONS PROJECT(of course APP came around 10yrs later). Much can be said about their music but lyk I will touch ever so lightly at this point in time, what amazes me is not only the lyrics but the texture they incorporated into their music its candy for ears and mind. lyk you know a friend and another person related to me their experience with PINK FLOYDs DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, and it was with depression they were telling me that they just listened solely to that album; and lost track of time and space (as in the date, time and month). I remember at my high school that there was a mural of Dark Side of the Moon. The three music bands (as mentioned above) have been catagorised as being psychedelic -progressive rock but looking back, they were the fathers of chillout rock or chillout music. If you enjoy meditation sessions on the hookah and lyk you want music of the occidental flavour as opposed to the oriental or middle-eastern, Pink Floyd is the ride for you.
