What defines classic rock?

I've been seeing a lot of '90s and early '00s music popping up on classic rock stations.  I understand the sentiment, but to me "classic rock" is pretty much '60s & '70s, '90s is "modern rock".   What do you guys think?

My profile name is also the name of my radio show...

If you're interested, I do have a weekly radio show highlighting all of the tracks I come across that don't fit into regular classic rock radio.  I'm on the air live each Wed at 11:30pm EST, and all the archived shows are available here:

http://www.bboxradio.com/old-time-religion-radio-hour/

I'd love to hear feedback from the community.

what's everybody's favorite non-standard classic rock radio song?

As it's what I make my business these days, what's everybody's favorite deep cut?  Something you won't normally hear on standard classic rock radio?

Quick concert security story ... You have to start somewhere :)

1978 I was called to work security at a bar for this up and coming rock and roller. The bar was the Stage One on transit road in Buffalo and was owned by Harvey Weinstein (now owner of Merrimac Productions - Hollywood movie producer).

Well we had 11 security guys and the bar could hold about 400 patrons. There was a door charge of something like 3 or 4 bucks to get in.   ONLY 7 PEOPLE SHOWED UP FOR THE SHOW!!

So we had 11 guys working security for 7 people in…

Short Intro ...

Hi Gang ...

New member here. My name is Tony Matteliano and I am 56 years old.

Mark Matteliano is a member here and is my baby brother :)   I used to work for a concert promotor back in the late 70's and early 80's named Harvey and Corky in the Buffalo NY area.

My job was to stand center stage at concerts, behind a protective barrier between he crowd and the band, I had to make sure that people did not try to get up on the stage. This gave me a…

McCartney Giannoni aka “Harley Blues” dream come true - She finally met Paul McCartney

The first pic was taken by a friend of mine McCartney Giannoni, after she danced with Paul McCartney on stage in Vienna. She is so thrilled and I seriously doubt she has gotten any sleep since she met him. She had a nice chat with Paul and said he was charming and funny. He forgot to sign her tattoo. Maybe the next time ;)…
